Who should not get Coolsculpting?

 

CoolSculpting is not for you if you have any of the following medical conditions: cryoglobulinemia, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria PNH, or cold agglutinin disease then you would not be able to get the treatment. If you have a history of abdominal hernia, even if was treated, we strongly discourage Coolsculpting to the abdomen, however, you would be able to get it to other areas of your body.

 

What to expect and possible side effects?

 

Most patients have an enjoyable comfortable experience during the treatment where they are relaxed in a private, cozy and chic room and can multitask by working on their laptop, watching a movie or nodding to the music, or having a relaxing sleep. Some patients may feel some tugging, tingling, stinging, intense cold, and pressure around where the vacuum is applied. These sensations will get better as the area becomes numb from the cold used to destroy the fat cells. Very rare side effect in 1 out of 3000 of paradoxical hyperplasia, meaning the tissue around the treated getting bigger. In this rare side effect, surgical treatment will be necessary.
